Marseille Provence Airport or Aéroport de Marseille Provence (IATA: MRS, ICAO: LFML) is an airport located 27 km (17 miles) northwest of Marseille, on the territory of Marignane, both communes of the Bouches-du-Rhône département in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur région of France.

THe Marseille Airport is the fifth busiest French airport by passenger traffic and third largest for cargo traffic. In 2012 the airport known the fourth European most important passenger traffic growth in 2012, at 12,7% with 8,295,479 passengers. The airport’s hinterland goes from Gap to Arles and from Toulon to Avignon. Marseille Provence Airport also serves as a focus city for Air France.

Formerly known as Marseille-Marignane Airport, it has been managed since 1934 by the Marseille-Provence Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI).

In summer 2013, the Marseille Airport serves 132 regular destinations, the largest offer in France after the Parisian airports.

Luggage Storage / Lockers – Left luggage is available during the summer months. Location: Information Hall 1, Ground Floor. Hours: 6am-8pm. Rate: 15 € per item.
Showers – Location: Underground level, Hall 1. Hours: 7am to 8pm. Access: Tickets are sold at the parking cashier
Internet: WiFi is available at the Marseille Airport for a fee. Computer workstations with internet access. Location: Arrivals Hall 1, Business Center and Cezanne lounge.
